UK international artist and academic Allan Storer paints in Gower, St. Ives and London.  Using large squeegees and palette knifes he exerts a physical and energetic application of textured impasto oil on to the painting surface. He says,



 "The power and texture of working this way dictates chance plays a significant role in the execution of my work".



An artist with broad experience, he  committed himself to seven years study in the theory and practice of modern art culminating with an MA. at the Chelsea College of Art, London, before embarking upon an artistic career. His points of reference are primarily painters,  Gerhard Richter, Anselm Kiefer, Frank Auerbach and Kyffin Williams inclusive of  20th. Century Abstract Expressionism.  

 

With work in public and private collections, in Europe, the USA. and UK. Allan Storer is a published artist in the "Nations Paintings in Public Ownership represented in the National Arts Foundation Catalogue" and the BBC National Collections site.  In 2009 he supplied the artwork for the USA National Rugby Play Off Tournaments. .

 

Featured in the Artist and Illustrators Magazine, Allan Storer's work  has been the subject of student thesis and school curricula; he is a visiting art lecturer; has shown with the Institute of Royal Oil Painters; is a member of the British Federation of Artists and the Hesketh Hubbard Drawing Society at the Mall Galleries, London and has exhibited with several galleries in London, the Cotswolds, Cornwall and Wales. 

Recent placements of his abstract work include a UAE Royal household, luxury apartments in Monaco and London.
